The German Leadership Question
Bailing out governments and banks is not the direction in which Germany should lead. If Germany should lead at all, it should do so by providing a model of good economic policies for others to emulate, and by respecting the commitments enshrined in the treaties that established the European Union and the eurozone.

Hostility against Germany has reached a level unseen in Europe since the end of World War II.
